Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the transformational and Interactive (transactional) leadership perception levels, presenteeism and organizational commitment levels of the employees in sports organizations, and to examine the relationship between the variables with the structural equation model. The research sample consists of 465 provincial organization employees who voluntarily participated in the research with the random sampling method from 7 different cities determined within the scope of the study universe. In the study, Transformational Leadership Scale (TLS) and Interactive (Transactional) Leadership Scale (ILS), within the scope of Multi-Factor Leadership Scale (MLQ) were used as data collection tools. Other scales used are Presenteism Scale (PS) and Organizational Commitment Scale (OCS). During the analysis of the data, the internal-consistency of the measurement tools was calculated with the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient. MANOVA and Pearson Correlation tests were applied to determine the TLS, ILS, PS and OCS levels according to the age, gender, marital status, staff title and total years of work of the participants. In addition, the research model, which was created to examine the relationship between ILS, PS and OCS, was tested with the structural equation model (SEM). According to the MANOVA results, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the total score of ILS according to the "age" variable, in the total scores of ILS and PS according to the "gender" variable, and in the total scores of ILS and OCS according to the "marital status" variable. It was determined that there was a significant difference in the total scores of PS and OCS according to the "staff title" variable, and in the total scores of OCS according to the "total working years" variable. According to the Pearson Correlation test, it was determined that there was a negative correlation between the TLS score and the "education level", a positive correlation between the PS score and the "education level", and a negative correlation between the PS score and the "income level". According to the results of the SEM analysis, it was concluded that organizational commitment had a mediating effect on the effect of transactional leadership on presenteeism.
