Abstract (EN)

Turkey is earthquake country. 66% of the territory of the country is located in the earthquake zone first degree. Yalova province is also one of the cities in the first earthquake zone. So much so that,in the 1999 Marmara earthquake, the city had highest loss of life and property, with the cities of Izmit and Sakarya. In this study, the concept of disaster logistics, which has an important place in the disaster management practices, and in particular the storage processes are mentioned. Sports halls that can be used effectively and efficiently in storage activities that have an extremely critical prescription in post-disaster recovery work have been examined. In the study, firstly the sports facilities were determined and then these sports halls were compared with each other with numerical analyzes in terms of suitability. There are eight variables that were previously identified as eligibility criteria. These; moisture in the environment, ease of warehouse entry and exit, flood - water risk, ease of access, durability, capacity, geographical location and safety factors. The gymnasiums compared with each other by the digital weighting method then compared again with the analytical hierarchy process (AHP), which is another numerical method which is frequently used both in the business world and in the academic field. AHP Method; level hierarchical structure of goals, criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives. In this structure, the importance of each decision criterion is gained through binary comparisons and the performance of each alternative against each criterion is evaluated. This method, which was first worked by Saaty in 1986, is now known to be used for many different areas and for different purposes from location selection to automotive selection. (Arslan, 2017) Findings obtained at the end of the study shared with R.T.Ministry of Interior AFAD Presidency and R.T. Yalova AFAD Directorate and it is foreseen that the results obtained with this work will be processed in the Yalova Disaster Response Plan (TAMP - Yalova) to assist in the activities of the disaster logistics needed after a possible disaster.
