Investigation of the self sufficiency of substance dependency protection of 15-18 years old students using sports facilities (Keçiören Municipality example)

The aim of this study was to examine the self-efficacy levels of substance dependence of young people going to the gymnasium of Keçiören Municipality according to some variables. In the first part of the study, substance and substance dependence was emphasized, dependence was defined, substance use and its results were investigated and risk factors and preventive factors in substance use were emphasized. In the second part of the study, substance use during adolescence and youth was emphasized. For this purpose, problems of adolescence and youth were examined and harmful habits and use of addictive substances during adolescence and youth were investigated. In the third part of the study self-efficacy and self-efficacy status in adolescents were investigated. Survey was used as data collection tool in the research. Survey was used as data collection tool in the research. The questionnaire consists of two parts. These are the Demographic Information Form and Self-Efficacy Scale for Substance Dependence for Adolescents developed by Eker, Akkuş and Kapısız (2013). The study was analyzed using the IBM SPSS 20 program. In the analysis, the data related to the demographic information of the students are shown by frequency analysis method. Afterwards, the answers given to the questions related to the sports related to the students were shown by frequency analysis again. Later, the scores of the students' subscale scores were shown by means of descriptive analysis. In the next part of the analysis, the students were tested by one way ANOVA and independent sample t-test to determine whether the answers given to the students about demographic information and sports related subjects were different according to the scores they got from the MBO sub-factors. When the results of the research are examined, it is seen that the students who are interested in swimming sports have a higher self-efficacy than the other students.
