Abstract (EN)

Just like other disabled people, people having impaired hearing have to cope with some types of problems. One type of those problems is psychological problems. Anxiety, lack of imperishableness and shyness are psychological problems that may be seen at people having impaired hearing as a result of their disabled conditions. There are some tools to be used in order to decrease negative effects of those problems. Sport may be seen as one of those tools. Aim of that study is evaluating the effectiveness of sport in terms of decreasing the level of problems seen at people having impaired hearing about Anxiety, lack of imperishableness and shyness. In order to reach that aim, 95 participants were chosen in Gaziantep District. Rathus Assertiveness Scale and Personal Information Form are used. In order to analysis the data, SPSS 23,0 is used. At the end of the study, it is seen that people dealing with sport has higher levels of assertiveness and lower degrees of anxiety. There is no significant difference between people with hearing impairment dealing with sport and not.
