Abstract (EN)

Sirrî Rahile Hanım, who is the subject of this graduate study we have done with her mystical personality and divan, is a sufi poet who lived in Diyarbakır between the years (b.1814- v.1877), which coincided with the turbulent environment of the 19th century. Sırrî Rahile Hanım is the daughter of Ahmed Bey, one of the notables of Diyarbakır. With the special care of his father, the poet received his first education in the so-called "mansion education" at that time, and gained knowledge of Arabic and Persian during his education. The poet, who showed interest in divan literature with this cultural accumulation in his family, started to write poems and his poems found a place for himself in many publications of the period. Rahile Hanım married Tahirzade Bekir Ağa and had three children from this marriage. The poet wrote an elegy that would become very famous after his son Rıf'at died at a young age. Sirri Hanım joined the Kadiri sect by joining Sayyid Ahmed Çelebi. During her visit to Baghdad, Rahile Hanım visited the tombs of Abdülkadir-i Geylani and many saints and benefited from their spirituality. The poet, whose poems formed a divan, wrote poems in accordance with the literary understanding of the age in which he lived. Rahile Hanım has produced an intermediate level poem. His poems are poems describing divine love in a hikemi style. The poet is a poet who has the spirit of unity of existence. The poet first attracted the attention of Yusuf Kamil Pasha with a poem he wrote and came to Istanbul as his guest. During her stay as a guest in Yusuf Kamil Pasha's mansion, Rahile Hanım, who participated in the scientific and literary events held in the mansion and in Istanbul, passed away in the same mansion in 1877.
