Compliance with standards and the contribution of certification to brand value: A research in Kastamonu building materials sector

From past to present, all businesses have been established to make a profit, and they have focused on making high profits by producing and selling the products and services they produce in the best quality and most economical way and maintaining their existence by making it permanent. Nowadays, with information technologies, all kinds of information are easily accessible, marketing is expanding from local to national and international areas, even if the market grows, competition is increasing. In parallel with these developments, customer needs and expectations are also changing and developing. Brand value comes to the fore with the orientation of customers to products that will satisfy them more materially and morally. With the transformation of the world into a single market, with the participation of national organizations such as ISO (International Standard Organization) and its member TSE; They have issued standards to determine the minimum requirements for the formation of the managerial structures of the enterprises, the common market needs, expectations and perceptions of the products and services produced, and they have shaped their management and production by adopting and applying them in the enterprisesIn this study, it has been evaluated based on research findings that compliance with standards and certification in companies producing building materials will contribute to customer-based brand value, which is an important factor in managing customer perception.
