Abstract (EN)
This study examines the crime of praising the crime and the criminal. The act of praising a crime or a person by the crime she/he committed constitutes a statement of thought, and the regulation of this act as a crime connotes the limitation of freedom of expression. The crime of praising the crime and the criminal constitutes a concrete danger crime. The controversies caused by danger crimes regarding the principles on the restriction of freedom of expression increases due to the transformation of expressions into new forms by developing technology. In this study, the nature of the concept of praising will be explained along with the current case-law. A thorough evaluation of the crime will be made in the scope of the protection of freedom of expression. Keywords: Praising, incitement, freedom of expression, danger crimes.
