Various structures and facilities are being built on the land in an increasing manner due to the developing technologies aimed at meeting the needs of the people. Sustainable use of resources in order to change and the resulting investment in land is required to analyze the impact on the environment. Remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems, etc., which are today's advanced technologies for monitoring and evaluating land changes and investments in large areas decision support systems are utilized. This paper studies the effects of irrigation projects on land use change and environment on the irrigation project of Kayseri-Felahiye-Kayapınar and the Felahiye creek basin, where the project was implemented, was investigated by using satellite images and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) at different times with Remote Sensing technique. In this context, river network was specified by using Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the area and the these network was provided to determine on the field of basin.. Turkey Statistical Institute data stored and the data obtained from Directorate of Land Registry associated with the classification results. The realization of the project, the proportion of housing and the roads within the scope of work area has been showing 9.35% increase in 2018, while the 3.65% in 2005. The proportion of irrigated agricultural land with facilities 3.34% in 2005, while 7.71% in 2018 with the project, which has been put the project into effect in 2013. These data indicate that it has been understood that the irrigable agricultural land stated in the irrigation project planning report has reached its goal.
