Abstract (EN)

Firdevsi was a scholar who lived during the reigns of Mehmed II, Bayezid II and Selim I. at the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. Although she worked in many fields such as medicine, history, astronomy, literature, philosophy and geometry during her lifetime, it was the work called Süleyman-name-i Kebir that introduced Firdevsi to the world of science. Although he had many works in many fields, it was his work the Suleyman-namah-i Kebir that introduced Ferdowsi to the world of science. In this study, Suleyman-namah's 40th volume which is in in 45 Ak Ze 226 of Akhisar Zeynelzade Collection in Manisa Provincial Public Library, 1212(1797) dated foundation stamped in the name of Çili Zeynel b. Hacı Ali was taken as basis. The study consists of semantic analysis, text, index and facsimile sections. In the introduction, information about the life and works of Ferdowsî is given, and then the subject, language and spelling features of the 40th volume are emphasized. In the semantic analysis, the text is handled with a diachronic perspective. With the study of word and sentence semantics, the semantic features of the words and sentences used in the period when the work was written were revealed. In the text section, the Arabic script has been transcribed into Latin letters. In the index section, the words and proper names in the work are given in alphabetical order.
