Abstract (EN)
In this study the hand-writing Qur'an found in Suleymaniye Library with stock number 00002 in the collection of Fazil Ahmad Pasha has been analysed in terms of book arts. The Qur'an studied belongs to 16th century, and was evaluated worthy enough to be analysed in terms of Turkish art books. The thesis includes three chapter: The first chapter consists of information about book arts. In the second chapter, information about the preparation and the topics of the hand-witten works, the ornament of the Qur'an and about the illuminated parts found in the Qur'an are given. In the third chapter, Suleymaniye Library, Fazil Ahmad Pasha and the Qur'an with stock number 00002 chosen from the collection of Fazil Ahmad Pasha were studied in terms of book arts and evaluated in terms of the period features addressing to art, style, pattern, motif and colour.
