Abstract (EN)

Hydrazones are important organic compound groups that have been extensively studied with modern methods since 1894 with their chemical reactivity and synthetic studies. It has important activities in various biological fields such as organic synthesis, biochemistry, antitumoral and antimicrobial as well as analytical fields such as supramolecular chemistry. Hydrazone derivatives form a versatile class of compounds in organic chemistry. These structures contain two nitrogen atoms bonded together and a C=N double bond conjugated with the lone electron pair of the terminal nitrogen atom. Sulfonyl hydrazones, on the other hand, are obtained as a result of acid-catalyzed condensation reaction of sulfonyl hydrazide derivatives with acylated aldehyde compounds obtained synthetically. Sulfonyl hydrazones are well known for their pharmacological effects such as enzymatic modulation, analgesic, antifungal and potential antibacterial. In addition, they may also act as anti-alzheimer's, antidepressant, antineoplastic activity and antidiabetic agents. In this thesis, aromatic sulfonyl chloride compounds containing substituents such as bromine, fluorine and methoxy in the para position in their structure will be treated with hydrazine reagent at low temperature to obtain 4 different sulfonyl hydrazide compounds. Then, these sulfonyl hydrazide derivatives will be subjected to an acid-catalyzed condensation reaction with acylated aldehyde compounds obtained synthetically from vanillin compound. As a result of this reaction, the synthesis of 15 target compounds will be realized. In addition, the structure of these target compounds will be elucidated by using spectroscopic analyzes such as 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FT-IR and HRMS. These compounds will then be used for biological applications. Keywords: Hydrazone compounds, sulfonyl hydrazone derivatives, biological activity, antioxidant, heterocyclic compound
