The analyse and the evaluation of Sunquri̇'s work Zubdat al-'Aqāid Nuhbat al-Fawāid

The works produced in order to classify the factions/sects that have emerged with political and religious purposes in the Islamic world have been published in different traditions. Seventy-three sect narrations taken as reference sources had a decisive effect on the shaping of classification systems. One of the individuals that produced his work according to this narration is Hasan b. 'Umar al-Sunqurī who is also the student and follower of 19th century Ottoman scholar Ahmad Ziyā al-Dīn Gumushānavī. Sunqurī's work Zubdat al-'aqāid nuhbat al-fawāid which he produced by translating and adding notes to his teacher Gumushānavī's work al Natāyij al-I'tiqādiyyah and using other sources is written in accordance with Ash'arī's maqālāt tradition. Our work, which deals with Zubdat al-'aqāid nuhbat al-fawāid consists of three chapters. In this study, which is based on the descriptive method, within the first part, the life of Sunqurī, Zubdat al-'aqāid nuhbat al-fawāid and its place in the maqālāt tradition are emphasized. In the second chapter, the originality of the work, which has the content analysis was tried to be determined by comparing it with the main sources. In the third part, the latinized text is given.
