Abstract (EN)

Zooplankton fauna and environmental quality of Lake Sünnet were monitored using bioiogical and physicochemical variables obtained from different six stations between May 2005 and December 2006. Water samples were collected from four different littoral parts (L-1, L-2, L-3, L-4) and two vertical parts (V-Y, V-4) of lake as a monthly. Physical variables such as pH, DO, % saturation, salinity, electrical conductivity, water temperature were measured each sampling period in a field study area at the same time, chemical and microbiological analysis were made in the labarotory at the same day. In this study totally 23 rotifer species (Anuraeopsis fissa, Ascomorpha ovalis, Asplanchna periodonta, Brachionus angularis, Cephalodella catellina, C. gibba, Colurella adriatica, Euclanis dilatata, Filinia longiseta, F. terminalis, Keratella cochlearis, K. quadrata, Lecane (M.) Closterocerco, L. lunaris, L. luna, Notholca acuminate, N. squamula, Polyarthra dolichoptera, P. major, P.remata, Pompholyx complanata, Trichocerca (D.) similis, T. weberi) three cladocerus species (Daphnia longispina, Bosmina longirostris, Chydorus sphaericus) and 2 copepoda genus (Thermocyclops, Cyclops) were identified in Lake Sünnet. Rotifer species were dominant among zooplankton. Seasonal distribution of zooplankton species with selected environmental variables were evaluated by using canonical correspondence analysis (CCA). According to CCA result, variables explain % 41 of total variation and model is significant (p <0.005).
