Abstract (EN)

Ahl al-Sunnah and Shi'a, which are the two major sects of the Islamic world, have different foundations in terms of mentality and have different arguments on some subjects. One of the phenomena that caused them to occur is that the two sects have very different narrations in the field of hadith. Although both sects have different evaluations, they appear to have allied to some names. One of these names is Muhammad al-Baqir. Muhammad al-Baqir was endorsed by Sunni scholars, but Shi'a attributed a greater function to him as the fifth imam. For this reason, a different perception of Muhammad al-Bakir emerged according to both sects. Since the search of this name in all its aspects will exceed the limits of the thesis, so the role of Muhammad al-Baqir in the hadith was examined according to sectarian assumptions. In this thesis, the life of Muhammad al-Baqir was tried to be transferred by considering the narrative perceptions of the two sects and his students were evaluated according to the Sunni and Shiite acceptance. Thus, it was tried to determine the role of his students in the differentiation of the narrations which accepted by two sects. In addition, the hadiths that the Sunni and Shiite sects conveyed jointly from him were determined, and thus the differences between the two sects were tried to be understood.
