Abstract (EN)

In this work, the factors affecting the growth mechanism of the Bi-2212 superconducting whiskers fabricated from glass precursor have been experimentally and theoretically investigated. According to these factors, the optimum conditions for the whisker growth were determined. The growth mechanism of the Bi-2212 whiskers was tried to explain with the aid of experimental results obtained.In addition, the Bi, Ga and Sr substitutons, which are the glass-former agents, into the Bi-based superconducting system have been made and the effect of these substitutions on the whisker growth from the glass precursor were studied in detail. It was found that the substitutions did not incorparated to the main structure of whiskers. The longest whiskers were obtained for the Bi-substituted, then for Ga- substituted materials and the shortest whiskers were obtained from the Sb- substituted materials. The structural, microstructural, thermal, electrical and magnetic properties of the whiskers fabricated, depending on substitutions, have been studied. In terms of physical and superconducting properties, better results were obtained from the Bi, Ga and Sb substituted materials respectively.
