Abstract (EN)

In this study, a catapult that works with magnetic levitation is designed and produced. The catapult consists of two main parts, which are the car and the rail. Although premade cryostats are available in the market, the cryostat in the thesis is designed, and manufactured as a part of the project. Permanents magnets are used in Halbach array in the design of the rails. Halbach array is a one-dimensional array, and it shows how magnets line up in one direction; however, in the thesis rails affect the superconductor on two surface and there is a two dimensional array. In order to find an optimum array, series of simulations are conducted. In these simulations, softwares such as Femm, Comsol and Matlab are used. For last dynamic analysis of the system is studied using Matlab and Simulink. In dynamic analysis, systems' reaction is observed after an external impact.
