Abstract (EN)
This study aims to investigate slow tended tourists` slow tourism destination selection behaviors. One of the most frequently used theories in determining behaviors, Theory of Planned Behavior was used as the main theory. It is aimed to propose an extended TPB model by adding variables such as involvement, environmental concern, cultural sensitivity and travel lifestyle variables that may affect the behavior of slow tended tourists. Data is collected in first three most visited slow travel destinations in Turkey namely, Seferihisar, Akyaka and Gökçeada from 600 local and foreign slow tended tourists between July and August 2019. Control questions were used to distinguish slow tended tourists and mass tended tourists were eliminated. Quota sampling method was used to determine sample. Findings of this study showed that involvement, environmental concern, satisfaction, environmental satisfaction and attitude have positive effect on repeat visit intention, while cultural interest and perceived behavioral control effects repeat visit intention negatively.
