Abstract (EN)

The aim of the thesis is to take up-to-date principles/decisions in the context of sustainability by creating architectural design, application and evaluation criteria in urban transformation studies carried out / to be made in our country, and to create a Sustainable Urban Transformation Projects Implementation Model. Changing the physical situation in the cities, renewing the slum areas formed by rapid urbanization, increasing the changing living conditions, providing social development by increasing the economic progress and increasing the comfort of human life are the main components that feed the urban transformation. The aim of the Turkey Sustainable Urban Transformation Projects Implementation Model is to create a sustainable urban transformation project implementation model unique to Turkey and to take strategic principles and decisions. The model reveals how the urban transformation works currently being carried out in Turkey can be carried out on the basis of sustainability in order to take place in the future, in practice, quickly, effectively and in stages. It is considered that updates can be made on model continuity and efficiency with the proliferation of applications based on the model in the future. It will be appropriate to make the necessary changes and transformations in the model according to the results that will emerge. Turkey Sustainable Urban Transformation Projects Implementation Model (TÜSKED-PUM) includes priority for global warming problems and to be a source for future sustainable urban transformation applications.
