Abstract (EN)

Turkey has been in the middle of a region with many conflicts date back to its establishment year of 1923 such that migration is a phenomena and approved many emigration. The muslim people, especially Turkish people, that lived in peace in the lands that are ruled by The Ottoman Empire has experienced suppression, opression and genocide and had to leave the lands they live in and migrate to Anatolia and East Thracia which are the remaining lands of the Empire.Turkey has approved these emigration and many times undertaken efforts to resolve obstacles about these migrations. From the years of establishment of Turkey, there have been mass migrations from Bulgaria, Greece, Yugoslavia, Romania as well as from the regions of Caucasus, Middle Asia and Middleeast to Turkey. After the year 2011 due to the civil war in Syria, many Syrian people had to leave their own country. The majority of these people took refuge in neighboring countries like Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. The fast increase of the number of the Syrian refugees in Turkey in a very short time brought many problems. The cities, especially Gaziantep,have been affected from the Syrian migrations as the neighboring cities to the Turkey-Syria border. In this thesis ıt ıs referred to Syrıan mıgratıons continuing after the year 2011 , after examınıng the emigrational movements to Turkey up to 2011 ,by utilizing many resources. The effects of Syrian migration on Gaziantep is analysed through interviews made with people living in Gaziantep. In this study the problems arised in city due to the migrations and resolution advisory are provided.
