Assassins of Syrian (11 - 13 th Centurıes)

This thesis studies the relationship between the Crusades in the 12th and 13th centuries and the groups of the Christians who are present in the geography of the Middle East and the Ismaili sects in the region. Christian communities and organizations that have settled in the region since the beginning of the 12th century have begun to recognize the formation of the Batınî, which is not very similar to Sunni Muslims or the Sunni states in particular around Syria and its environs. This group, which was very tied to religious teachings, was also releasing fear to its enemies through methods other than conventional war tactics. There are still various opinions about the source.For this group the name "Assassins" was often used by westerners. As long as Christians remain in the region, this interesting organization will continue to be friendly, sometimes friendly and sometimes in conflict. Although this group has been mentioned with various names throughout history, the concept of "Assassians", especially the name that Westerners attribute to them, will be used more in this thesis. In the introduction to our thesis, what is Hashish and Hashishism ?, in the first chapter, the view of the Hashish and Christians in each other, in the third chapter, in the 12th and 13th centuries the relations between the Hashish and Christians, are processed. The archives related to the period are not limited to inscriptions and other main sources are limited to first and second sources. For this reason, besides the main resources available in this research, the first and second kind sources were also utilized. Urban and regional historians, travelers and clerics as well as sources referring to the political events of the period are the main sources of this work. All these works were generally taken by Muslim authors and evaluated by these individuals. However, the Seljuks were also found with non-Muslim people and states in accordance with internal and external politics. Armenian, Syriac and Byzantine sources were also benefited.
