Özet (EN)
The phenomenon migration with a long past has gained different reasons and dimensions within the passing years. In this century, the concept of migration has become the one of the most significant determiners of the countries’ internal and external policies due to both its rapidly increasing dimensions and globalization. The policies conducted in order to manage migrations, the decisions made, restrictions applications, adaptation problems of immigrants before, during and after migration come first among the important issues that should be considered. In recent years, the wars fought and civil wars and economic crises experienced in the countries have been the basic reasons of increase in mass migration. However, because of effect of globalization, developments lived in the field of communication and transportation have made the migration become easier. Therefore, the combination of both pushing and attractive factors has caused a serious increase in the volume of migration. It is no doubt that Syria became the last ring of Arab Spring overthrowing several governments after the civil wars, whose first sparks were seen in Tunisia in December 2010, took all Middle East under their effect. During the most violent years of the civil war, Turkey, neighbouring Syria with a border of 911 km, has become one of the countries where Syrians, being obliged to leave their home town, took refuge. Turkey, which followed “open door policy” for the refugees, hospitalize Syrian refugees in nearly all her towns with migration policies she changed after migration started. This study includes the evaluations about the migration policies Turkey applied refugees who settled in Batman from Syria. According to the result of the study carried out over 12 survey questions and general and demographical information, the refugees having taken refuge in Turkey are in general pleased with the migration policies applied by Turkey.
