Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in the growing season of 2022-2023 to determine the effect of liquid animal manure as a base fertilizer and top fertilizer on the yield, quality and mineral matter contents of Hungarian vetch. The study was carried out according to the randomized block design with three replications. In the study, two trials were carried out together with the base fertilizer application as the first trial and the top fertilizer application as the second trial. In both trials, 1000 kg, 2000 kg, 3000 kg, 4000 kg and 5000 kg of liquid fertilizer were applied per decare together with the control group. In the study, the effect of liquid animal manure applied as both base and top fertilizer on yield traits such as plant height, green forage yield and dry matter yield, quality traits such as crude protein, ADF (acid detergent insoluble fiber) and NDF (neutral detergent insoluble fiber) ratios and macro (Ca, Mg, P, K) and micro (Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo and Zn) element contents of Hungarian vetch were investigated. It was found that the effect of liquid animal manure applied as base fertilizer and top fertilizer on yield characteristics of Hungarian vetch and crude protein ratio, which is an important quality criterion, was statistically insignificant, while the effect on macro and micro element contents was significant. As a result, it was concluded that it would be more appropriate to use liquid fertilizer doses to enrich the nutrient contents of Hungarian vetch rather than increasing the yield and quality of Hungarian vetch and that the study should be carried out for at least one more year in order to support these results.
