Abstract (EN)

Usage potential of new generation riveting connections in machines and structures one is increasing, day by day. Blind rivet facilitates the riveting process by providing ease of one-sided access. Particularly, importance of laminated composite materials have been increasing in the long time periods required connection reliability such as aerospace, automotive, infrastructure, medical, electronic packaging, construction and marine industries. Today, usage of composite materials is one of the main methods to save energy. Bolts are usually used to join composite materials. In this study, behaviors of laminated composite plates joined with blind rivet and bolts under the tensile strength and maximum load. In tensile experiments of 5754 aluminum plate and laminated composite material which has [0/±45/90]s sequencing, it had been obtained that bolted joints usually reached values of higher strength. However blind rivet connection had suffered damage with lower force, in fatigue test. Nevertheless, more homogeneous strengths and higher durabilities had been achieved.
