The aims of this study are to interpret by analyzing instrumental compositions of Tanbûrî Cemîl Bey technically and examine the methods and also to make a contribution to Turkish intrumental music by this means. This study is a descriptive research based on the scanning model in terms of its general framework, purpose and method. Preliminary information was obtained by scanning various sources related to the subject, and repertuard instrumental works of Tanbûrî Cemîl Bey which were included in the sample were used as data collection tool. Tanbûrî Cemîl Bey, known as the most important composer and instrumentalist of Turkish music, has composed many works in the form of instrumental works which take up little space in Turkish music repertoire. He has contributed a new technique and style to the instrumental form with works he has composed. This study is important in terms of determining the technical characteristics of Tanbûrî Cemîl Bey 's instrumental works and determining how he processed his instrumental form
