Education in the Mardin Sanjak from Tanzimat to Republic

In our thesis topic about "Education in the Mardin Sanjak from Tanzimat to Republic", the implementation status of the reforms about education, especially by the Tanzimat before Islam and later in the Mardin Sanjak which happens to be an important education, culture and civilization center, and changes undergone until the rebublic has been explained. In the first chapter, madrasahs and primary schools, which happen to be classical education institutions established in the Mardin Sanjak from the beginning until the era of modernization have been explained. In the second chapter, detailed information about the education administration and education councils and primary, junior high, high, non-muslim and foreign public schools constituted in the Mardin Sanjak in the Tanzimat period and later on are stated according to the archive records. In the final section, education reforms emerged in the Mardin Sanjak with the Tanzimat process are explained. It's been stated that despite of all economic and political crises, the government had shown great efforts for the development of the modern education and it's spread in Mardin Sanjak, as it did in all other cities and sanjaks.
