Özet (EN)

The Mount Spil rises at South of the city of Manisa and North of the city of İzmir. At its southwest Bornova Plain, at its southeast Kemalpaşa Plain and at its South Belkahve Pass which seperates these two plains. Furthermore there is Gediz Plain at northeast of Mount Spil and Menemen Plain at its northwest. The Emirâlem Pass seperates Mount Spil and Mount Yunt. Even if it seems like a single piece with Mount Yamanlar, the Sabuncubeli Pass seperates these two montain.Because of its fertile surroundings it had been the stage of many settlements throughout history. At the result of the excavations and surveys at Mount Spil and its surrounding area first known settlements dated back in 6800 B.C. (PPN).When looked at the findings in the Mount Spil it is seen that there were always a settlement since PPN. It is not right to make a comment as there is not any study related to previous periods yet. When we look at the remains of Spil Mountain, it is observed that there were settlements from the Aceramic Neolithic Period to the last periods of the Ottoman State, even if it was intermittent. The part of remains in question until the collapse of Rome, constitutes the subject of this thesis.
