Abstract (EN)

The significant ancient buildings dated with century of XII and XIV forming the historical tissue of the city were examined in the respect of landscape architecture. İt was determined that either buildings or their surroundings could not be conserved efficiently. Conservation of the ancient environments was included a few historical building at the centre of the city and unfortunately on these structures an appropriate conservation strategy wasn't performed. In the study a standardized survey form was applied on 300 people to determine the sensitivity of the people in the city. In the view of the results of the survey, for the Çille Minareli Medrese the most visited place a propasal landscape project was prepared. According the people's to desires and wishes proposals were also prepared for other historical buildings. It was concluded that if these buildings wanted to be conserved it was necessary for them continue their old mission and gain relative functions. 2002, 124 pages Keywords: ancient environment, landscape planing, conservation, utility, sustainablity.
