Abstract (EN)

The number of people dying from hunger is increasing in the world. Agricultural activities must be continuous, but the costs must be low to provide maximum profit for agricultural production. Since our country is foreign-dependent in terms of energy, it cannot control energy prices. The effect of the banking sector, which is the main pillar of the economy, has been investigated to use more renewable resources instead of fossil fuels to increase energy efficiency. According to the capitalist economic model, banks are the winds that decide which direction the economy will proceed in a country. Due to this reason, the concept of green banking shines out for creating a model that respects nature by carrying social awareness further. Green banking applications have been studied, and their impact on energy efficiency has been mentioned. The effects and outcomes of financial support and projects provided by many non-profit corporate organizations in various geographies have been studied. Due to the climate change in the world, it has been determined that many natural disasters increase at an unexpected level and their destructive power is high. In this context, the legal regulations implemented by our country to combat climate change were studied. A research was conducted on energy efficiency, which is the subject of the thesis, by using in-depth interview technique. As a result of the research, it has been observed that our country is not yet at a high level of interest in climate change.
