Abstract (EN)

"Green management practices" in agriculture include the planning and implementation of business activities focused on the protection of the ecological balance of the environment, especially human health and other living things, in all organizations, starting from feasibility studies of enterprises to agricultural product marketing activities. The concept of green management expresses the principle that the protection of the natural environment and the phenomenon of economic growth are carried out in a long-term and sustainable manner. Agricultural enterprises use various chemical pesticides to increase their production and maximize the yield obtained at unit rate. These chemical drugs cause negative consequences such as human health and living species, vegetation, environmental pollution, atmospheric pollution, pollution of water resources, deterioration of natural balance and climate changes. Today, while carrying out agricultural production activities in the world and in Turkey, it has not been realized enough that protecting the environment is as vital as the products produced. The aim of the study is to analyze green management practices in agriculture in Turkey and to offer preventive solutions for environmental damage caused by agricultural production. The study was carried out with 50 agricultural enterprises operating in Turkey. Data were collected from the corporate websites of the enterprises with qualitative research methods, the collected data were analyzed in the light of tables and it was seen that the applications were not sufficient. It is seen that government incentives and supports in this area are also important. On the other hand, it has been observed that businesses that implement green management practices contribute to the preservation of the ecological balance of the environment, develop a sense of social responsibility and increase their economic success. In addition, it has been concluded that green management practices increase the sustainable production and prestige of enterprises and have positive reflections on the productivity of their employees. It is thought that the research will be useful in terms of seeing the problems faced by businesses in green management practices. It is expected that the solution proposals developed on the data of the results obtained by addressing the environmental problems arising from the existing agricultural production will be guiding on a sectoral basis.
