An applied research that is relevant to enviromental issues at Tarsus

The Environmental Law is accepted as one of the sections of Public Law. It is also thought of as the mix of the Public and the Private Law.As the more environmental problems increased, the more importance of environmental law arose after the second half of the 20th century. Environmental issues are closely tied with the future of our Earth. These problems threat first of all to human being, animals, living of the ecosystem, biodiversity and organism. Similar problems are not only dealing with the Earth, continents, countries and regions but also are found in the Çukurova and especially in the Tarsus area.For this reason, general environmental detailed questions of Tarsus vicinity are examined in the frame of the Turkish Environmental Law. Because of this, subject thesis is a study of the applied method designed for the questionnaire. The interrogation of the questionnaire were directed to the top executives, staff of non-governmental organizations and the prominent people from different occupational groups. 24 questionnaires files out of 25 were answered. Answers given were one by one examined and evaluated.This thesis consists of those main chapters: General Environmental Problems, Environmental and Law, Turkish Environmental Law, Environmental Rights, International Environmental Regulations, Civil Court Decisions Regarding Environmental Issues, Geographical Position of Tarsus, Survey Studies the Establishment of an Industrial Solid Waste Discarding Facility which is planned to be set up in the Village of Kurbanlı, General Evaluation , Consequences and Suggestions.Key Words and Terms: Environmental Law, Public and Private Law, Environmental Right, Environmental Problems, Civil Court Decisions, Industrial Solid Waste, Discarding, Ecosystem, Biodiversity and Organism.
