This research focuses on the development of sustainable and innovative alternatives in the field of construction materials. Aiming to produce a material with superior properties as a substitute for rock wool, various additives, including glass spheres, granules, and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), were incorporated into gypsum-based formulations. The thermal, acoustic, and mechanical properties of the material were systematically evaluated by employing these additives at different ratios (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%) and in various combinations. Furthermore, the inclusion of SLS at concentrations of 1%, 2%, and 3% was utilized to enhance foaming and porosity. Thermal conductivity measurements were conducted at a fixed temperature of 50°C using specimens with standardized thickness and surface area. Acoustic properties were analyzed through the impedance tube method, while mechanical performance was assessed via compressive strength testing. The findings revealed that the combination of glass spheres, granules, and SLS resulted in the formation of open and closed porosity, thereby reducing thermal conductivity. These results indicate that gypsum-based materials have the potential to serve as a sustainable, cost-effective, and high-performance alternative within the insulation sector.
