Abstract (EN)

Today, mostly fossil-based sources are used to meet the energy demand. However, the use of renewable energy sources is increasing day by day. Green buildings can be given as an example of the individual use of renewable energy sources. In this study, firstly, general information is given about the properties of the buildings that are called green. At the same time, some of the systems used in green houses are explained. Secondly, a green building was designed in Sinop Province. Heat loss calculations were made for this green building, and the electrical needs of the devices were determined. In order to meet these needs, a passive system trombe wall was designed on the south facade of the green building. In addition, it is emphasized how to select an air source heat pump for the required heat. An on-grid hybrid system has been designed, where the building's electricity requirement consists of wind and solar energy systems. Moreover, calculations were made by determining the need for hot water for use, and a rainwater storage system was planned. Finally, the installation costs for this green building are detailed for each system. According to the results of the calculations made for Sinop, it has been determined that 3.54 kW of heat energy and 18.837 kW of electrical energy per day are needed for the green building project with a closed usage area of 94.3 m2. It has been determined that an air source heat pump with a power of 5 kW is required for heating and hot water. Electricity demand was met with a hybrid system. In this system, it has been determined that the amount of electricity demanded will be met by two 2 kW wind turbines and forty-six solar panels with 260 W each. According to the cost analysis, it has been determined that an investment of 876,274.4 ₺ is required according to today's unit prices in order for the projected house to be a green building. Moreover, according to cost calculations, it is estimated that this investment value will pay for itself in approximately 28 years. Since the on-grid system allows the sale of electricity, it is thought that this period will be shortened.
