Abstract (EN)

Nano particles in contact with the skin, especially in the cosmetics industry is increasingly used in products such as sunscreen. The use of nanoparticles, brings together cutting-edge features such as toxicology brings disadvantages. The zinc oxide particles is preferred because of its physical properties of the UV protection. In this study, producing method of micron-size plate-shaped zinc oxide with primary nanoparticules, and the synthesis conditions of the final properties were examined in detail. Zinc Glycerolate complex has a dimensions of about 2-10 µm with in the nano thickness transparent structure was obtained. Particle size distribution of the synthesized powders and sintering behavior was investigated. Study was carried out at the same time to increase the amount of production. In-vitro citoxicity (MTT) and genotoxicity (KOMET) tests on between plate-shaped particles synthesized ZnO and nano sized ZnO are examined on TIG-114 (fibroblast) cells. Toxicity results show that plate shaped ZnO particules are less toxic than nano sized ZnO. Microemulsion formulations made in the region of the application of powders and UV-Vis transmittance of these formulations were measured. Keywords: Zinc oxide, sunscreen , plate-shaped, toxicity
