Abstract (EN)
Design Management which seeks ways to integrate design into strategies of Industry, is expected to change by the evolution of the Industry to meet the user's needs. The history of Design Management has begun with The First Industrial Revolution (Best, 2006). As a result of the evolution of Industry, the needs of industry and the needs of users has been changed and this caused Design Management to develop to be able to meet the needs. Industry 4.0 which is announced by German Government as a technology strategy, is expected to emerge with the integration of information technologies into industrial systems. But it can be said that the elements of Industry 4.0 will be used not only for production but also for a holistic value chain from product idea to user experience. Design management can have an active role to create a value chain which satisfies business and user. In the new era of technology, this research aims to evaluate Design Management discipline in the context of Industry 4.0 and investigate Design Management of the Design Centres in Turkey in terms of awareness of Industry 4.0, value chain and user experience.
