Analysis of roof covering material change based on repair decisions made for immovable cultural assets; İnebolu example

The repair decisions taken for historical buildings are directly related to the values specific to the building and the city. Inebolu stands out with its historical importance and original architecture. One of the original values of Inebolu architecture is the Marla stone. The stone is used in street and roof coverings and various restrictions have been imposed in order to protect it in the Conservation Zoning Plans prepared for the region. In the study; It is aimed to determine how the roof covering materials, which are one of the important parameters of Inebolu city identity, have changed with the repair decisions taken by the protection boards through the documents. In the first chapter, the purpose, scope, method and place of the study in the literature are mentioned. In the second part, the conceptual framework and the forms of registration and intervention of cultural assets were transferred. In the third section, the physical and historical introduction of Inebolu was made and the planning and conservation studies carried out in the region were mentioned. In the fourth section, the research findings, registration slips, simple repair decisions and the types of cover encountered in substantive repair decisions were transferred. In the fifth section, the situations identified in the findings were evaluated and simple and fundamental repair decisions were compared with the situations encountered in the registration slips. In the sixth section, the results obtained and suggestions are presented.
