Abstract (EN)
Today, new energy sources have begun to be sought due to the decrease in the reserves of fossil fuels. Among these energy sources, pyrolysis is one of the processes of obtaining fuel from biomass. In the study, pyrolytic oil optimization was made from chicken cartilages by pyrolysis method. After the chicken cartilages were dried and ground, they were made ready for the pyrolysis process. Experiments were carried out on 3 different parameters. These are temperature, heating rate, and nitrogen gas entraining velocity. As a result of the experiments, the parameters for maximum oil production were determined as 500 °C temperature, 1 l/min entraining nitrogen gas flow rate, 10 °C/min heating rate and 30 minutes fixed retention time. Maximum oil measurement was measured as 21.87% in the specified parameters. The results of the analysis of the oil obtained are as follows. Density was measured as 1.107 cm/g3, kinematic viscosity (40 °C) as 24.78 mm2/sec, water content of 0.36% and sulfur content of 0.50 ppm. Flash point and kinematic viscosity (100 °C) values could not be calculated since the boiling point was low as a result of the analysis.
