Abstract (EN)

Supplier evaluation and selection is one of the most essential and critical part of supply chain management. The firms perform studies to evaluate their supplier candidates relying on different factors. The existence of the multiple criteria, makes the supplier selection problem appropriate to be dealt with Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques. In this study, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) employed with Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL). Within the thesis, in accordance with decision makers (DM) and literature review the criteria that will be used are determined. The interaction between criteria obtained by DM are aggregated, and via DEMATEL criteria weights are computed. Using a threshold value the criteria that will be involved in DEA are filtered. Being a fuzzy real life problem, the linguistic variables that are used for evaluating the criteria are included in the supplier selection process by fuzzy triangular numbers. The fuzzy DEA models that are selected firstly for the single-input single-output problem and afterwards for the single-input multiple-output problem are performed in different confidence levels, the efficiency values of suppliers are calculated and the results are compared.
