Abstract (EN)
This study aims to compare the travel risk perceptions, satisfaction, and behavioral intentions of European and Asian solo female travelers. This research focuses on the risks women face while traveling solo, the impact of these risks on travel satisfaction, and how they shape future travel intentions. The study utilizes a three-dimensional risk perception scale (destination-specific, gender-based, and psychosocial risk perceptions) to analyze the effects of these factors on women's solo travels. Additionally, the study examines the impact of travel satisfaction on the intention to undertake similar travels in the future. This research aims to provide the tourism industry with necessary information to develop services that are more responsive to the needs and expectations of solo female travelers. Moreover, this study compares the effects of cultural differences between Europe and Asia on the risk perceptions, satisfaction, and behavioral intentions of solo female travelers. This study also addresses the gender-based discrimination that women encounter during their travels, aiming to raise awareness and promote a more inclusive and equitable travel experience for every individual. Finally, based on the findings, the study proposes recommendations to improve the travel experiences of European and Asian solo female travelers.
