Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT AIM: The aimof this study was to evaluate whether anti-Müllarian hormone and neopterin can be used as biomarkers in recurrent pregnancy loss. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This study was carried out in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dumlupinar University Evliya Celebi Research and Education Hospital, between the dates of April 2016 and August 2016. A total of 110 patient were included in this study; 53 patients were with two or more consecutive miscarriages prior to 12th gestational week and women with at least one healthy term infant and had no previous history of miscarriage or pregnancy complications. Peripheral blood was collected from each patient to analyze anti-Müllerian hormone and neopterin concentration. RESULTS: Theresults suggested that mean level of anti-Müllerian hormone is 1389,18±683,33 pg/ml in patient group which is lower than control group (1845,85±718,33 pg/ml). This result is statistically significant with a t value of 3,411 and p value of 0,001. The mean levels of neopterinin are 1,69±0,486 ng/ml and 1,38±0,431 ng/m in patient group and in control group, respectively. This result considered to be statistically significant (t=3,536; p=0,001). CONCLUSION: The data of study demonstrate that anti-Müllerian hormone and neopterin can be used as biomarkers of recurrent pregnancy loss.
