Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is made a research about the adsorbtion of treatment sludge results from the textile industry with clinoptilolite that is in natural zeolite class. The treatment sludge results from the textile industry was estimated within The Control of Hazardous Wastes Regulations. The TOC and DOC parametres were determined as the main parameters shows that the treatment sludges are hazardous wastes. It is found that the clinoptilolite mineral has an adsorption effect on the removal efficiency of TOC and DOC of treatment sludges taken from two different textile industry processes. For the sludge taken from duvel cover plants which has an influent DOC value of 3272 mg/l and an influent TOC value of 172058 mg/kg, DOC and TOC removal percentages are measured respectively as 97.8% and 85.7%, for the sludge taken from curtain plants which has an influent DOC value of 784.5 mg/l and an influent TOC value of 221574 mg/kg, DOC and TOC removal percentages are measured as 93.7% and 87.0%. Eventually, these removal percentages make the hazardous waste (treatment sludge) non-hazardous waste or inert waste.
