Özet (EN)

The proposed physical and chemical methods for textile industry waste water treatment result in limited usage due to their high cost and inapplicability to every dye. The latest studies highlight biotechnological methods and points out the existence of widespread microorganism classes that have the ability to remove dye from waste water. MBR is defined as the combination of two basic processes: biological decomposition and membrane separation. The removal of dispersible solids and microorganism that performs biological decomposition from the clarified water can be referred as a single process. The whole biomass is hold inside the system in order to provide microorganism waiting time (sludge age) and effluent disinfection.Recently, due to the rapid advances in polymer and membrane technology and reduced manufacturing costs, membrane processes (especially microfiltration and ultrafiltration) have become able to compete with conventional systems on price and have started being implemented widely.In this study, a new membrane reactor was designed and manufactured by using the recent solutions to the operation problems and the economical feasibility data. In the proposed membrane bioreactor system, two different biomasses were experimented to study the clarification of textile waste water.
