Training provided to workers working in textile factories effect on muscle skeletal system disorders

Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the training given to textile malfunctions for muscle tissue system disorders. Material-method: Pre-test - Post-test This module, planned as a real trial model with a control group, consists of jobs working in two textile factories located in the city center of Batman. The data of the study was collected between March and September 2023. 40 textile workers were included in the experimental group and 40 textile workers in the control group. Number, percentage, mean, chi-square, t test in dependent groups, t test in independent groups, ANOVA analysis of variance will be used in the analysis of the data. A training program was created by the researcher for the workers in the experimental group to reduce musculoskeletal disorders. No intervention was made to the control group. Introductory Survey form and Cornell Musculoskeletal Disorder Screening survey form were used as data collection tools. Post-test surveys were distributed to the experimental and control groups 12 weeks after the training. Number, percentage, mean, chi-square, t test in dependent groups, t test in independent groups, and ANOVA analysis of variance were used in the analysis of the data. To conduct the study, ethical approval was obtained from the Batman University Ethics Committee and institutional permission was obtained from the textile factories. At the end of 12 weeks in the experimental group where exercise and education intervention was applied, the total score of the Cornell Musculoskeletal Disorder Scale in the neck, right shoulder, left shoulder, back, right arm, left arm, waist, hip, right knee, left knee, right foot, leftfoot regions was achieved. It was found to be statistically significantly lower than the pretest score averages. In the control group, the total scores in the neck, right shoulder, left shoulder, back, right arm, waist, right forearm, left forearm, hip, right knee, left knee, right leg, left leg, left foot regions were statistically compared to the pre- test score averages. was found to be significantly high. The post-test mean score of the experimental group was found to be lower than the pre-test mean score. The post-test mean score of the control group was found to be higher than the pre-test mean score. These results show that the training provided is meaningful for the experimental and control groups. Although the compliance of the participants in the experimental group with the exercise program was not high, it was observed that it had a positive effect on the health of the musculoskeletal system. According to the results of the data obtained from the study, it has been shown that the exercise and ergonomic training program given to textile factory workers positively affects the musculoskeletal health of factory workers.
