Abstract (EN)
In accordance with the legal regulations in our country for the protection of the environment, the wastewater generated after being used for different purposes in the production processes of industrial facilities must be discharged into wastewater channels after meeting certain standards. For this reason, wastewater treatment plants are installed in industrial facilities. In addition, changes in consumption habits and industrialization cause the need for water to increase day by day, and climate change and water pollution cause a decrease in usable water. In order to solve the water problem we face, traditional strategies such as searching for new water sources or moving different water sources to different locations are not enough and are not sustainable. When examined on a sector basis, it was seen that the textile industry is one of the most important sources of environmental pollution in terms of quality as well as quantity. Larger amounts of water are consumed in the textile sector compared to other sectors, and a large portion of the consumed water emerges as wastewater. Textile wastewater contains dyestuffs as major pollutants that are difficult to remove from water and also give intense color to the wastewater. Direct discharge of textile wastewater without treatment into the sea, river or any other water source causes serious environmental problems. In order to prevent the environmental problem, Wastewater Treatment Facilities (WWTP) have started to operate. The methods used in wastewater treatment plants are divided into chemical, physical and biological methods. These methods used during purification ensure the purification of wastewater by affecting parameters such as oil, grease, suspended solids and color. When looking at wastewater treatment plants in terms of energy efficiency, the efficiency of water resources increases, while the electrical energy consumed by the plant increases. In order to prevent this high energy consumption, different renewable energy sources are becoming a current issue. One of these, micro hydroelectric power systems, is preferred for positive reasons such as low installation cost, environmental friendliness, operation regardless of weather conditions, easy and low maintenance, and not needing large areas for installation. In this study, it is aimed to produce energy with micro hydroelectric power plant that can be used in wastewater treatment facilities in the textile sector. For this pur-pose, simulations were carried out using Matlab/Simulink. According to the results obtained, it was seen that the modeling was successful.
