Abstract (EN)

The television series, which has an important place in traditional television broadcasting, has become a popular genre in internet broadcasting platforms that arise as a result of the television converging to the internet. In Turkey, despite the supervised structure of television, Internet broadcasting has not yet been audited. In such an environment, there are some differences between the television broadcasts and internet broadcasts of these series. Some of these differences consist of content that may be subject to audit and may be considered objectionable according to the criteria determined by RTÜK in television broadcast. Despite the changes to the law that controls the relevant issue in Turkey, regulations on how to perform the rules is still not in force. In this study, an investigation has been made on the differences and the types of content that occur when the TV series are broadcast on internet broadcasting platforms. Within the scope of the research, the Fi series, which was broadcasted on PuhuTV, one of the domestic internet broadcasting platform, was examined. After being broadcast on the Internet, the Fi series has also been broadcasted on Show TV, which is a good example for the study. The television and internet broadcast of the Fi series were analyzed using a comparative content analysis method. Apart from content analysis, some findings were evaluated with descriptive status determination. Keywords: Internet Series, Convergence, PuhuTV, Fi Series, Television Broadcasting.
