Use of illustration as an educational material in basic instutions of education (An example of illustrative material of 16 Turkish states established in the history)

As a Turkish Nation we have a long history which is the consequence of independent and victorious 16 Turkish states that were founded at different times in the past. Knowledge of there states takes part in the teching cirriculum of Turkish Ministry of Educetion and it is taught gradually in history classes at scholls. The aim of this work is to make students understand and memorize these Turkish states better as there is lack of teching material about the topic. The purpose of the research: Designing illustrative educational materials of 16 Turkish States which were established in history and devoloping rommon historical consciousness in educational institutions of Turkish Government. Thus with the designed illustrations of 16 Turkish States, the subject is concretised as an educational material and this enables students to understand and memorize them easily. This research was designed with qualitative scrceening models. Practive work was mode with freehand drawing techniques, graphic design programs and digital painting methods in the application phase of it. The first part of the research includes material designing. In the second part of the research includes material designing. In the second part use of illustrations in educational institutions is mentioned. Application work and construction stages are defined in the third part of the research. As a conslusion 16 illustrative educational materials were designed within the scope of the research. It was pand attention to raise aworeness and acuteness in the learning the subject with the designs. In coldition to these maps and theoretical historical information that are supported by vectors and graphics are seen in the work. This research includes the illustrations of (Great Hunnic, Western Hunnic, European Hunnic, White Hunnic, Göktürk, Avar Khanagate, Khazar, Uyghur Khanagate, Kara-Khanids, Ghaznavids, Great Seljuk, Khwarazmids, Golden Horde, Timurid, Mughal, Ottoman ).
