The role of the Beechcraft C90 GTi aircrfat used in basic flight training

In the rapidly developing aviation sector, the suitability and applicability of flight training programs should be checked and the aspects that need to be developed should be updated. In order to maximize the potential of the student pilot during flight training, it is important to create training programs that are thought out from all aspects. The purpose of this research is to determine the training process of the Beechcraft C90 GTi aircraft used in the multi-engine rating phase of the fundamental pilot training, training requirements and the perceptions of the student pilots in the training process. Case study which is one of the qualitative research design was used in the research. The study group consists of 14 student pilots who have taken multi-engine rating training with Beechcraft C90GTi aircraft in the flight training department of Eskişehir Technical University. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The semi-structured interview form prepared by researcher took its final form with the expert opinion. The data collected with the semi-structured interview form were converted into findings with the descriptive analysis method. In the study, the opinions of student pilots about the use of Beechcraft C90 GTi aircraft in multi-engine rating training, the advantages and disadvantages of training with Beechcraft C90 GTi aircraft, and student pilots' suggestions for better training were taken. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that the use of the Beechcraft C90 GTi aircraft in multi-engine rating training were evaluated, as it is a technologically advanced aircraft, contributes to the need for qualified pilots and training programs of airlines. It is thought that this study will help to improve the training programs in the field of fundamental flight training and to increase the potential of student pilots with the new flight training programs developed.
