Basic ability awareness, the effect of corporate social responsibility perception on innovation performance

One of the main issues that business managers who aim to provide competitive advantage should focus on is to realize an innovation that provides customer benefit, differentiates the business from competitors, offers the opportunity to enter new markets and contributes to the achievement of the vision of the business. In order for this innovation process to occur and achieve success, the existence of a basic talent in the internal environment of the enterprise is important. In addition, the sustainability and acceptance of innovation, that is, sustainable innovation performance, can also be triggered by some repulsive external environmental factors. Corporate social responsibility can be shown among these driving forces. Because the multi-stakeholder perspective of corporate social responsibility has led businesses to be pioneers in sustainable innovation. In fact, the innovative capacity of an enterprise enables it to come to the fore in today's fierce competitive environment. For the sustainability of innovation performance, it will be possible by considering both internal and external environmental factors together. In this context, the effect of enterprises' basic talent awareness and corporate social responsibility perceptions on innovation performance was investigated in terms of sustainability of innovation. For this purpose, the study was carried out on 403 employees working in SMEs in Kastamonu. Basic talent awareness scale, CSR scale and innovation performance scale were used as data collection tools. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS package program. The hypotheses created were tested with correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the analyzes made, it was seen that awareness of basic skills and corporate social responsibility and some of its sub-dimensions were effective on innovation performance.
