Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and life satisfaction of tennis coaches and athletes working in Turkey in terms of gender, age and experience. In the study, the sample group consisted of 150 people, 62 women and 88 men, who were tennis coaches (n=75) and tennis athletes (n=75). The data in the research were obtained using a personal information form, general self-efficacy scale and life satisfaction scale, based only on age, gender and years of experience. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 27 package program (Statistical Package for Social Sciences), and descriptive statistics (Mean and Standard Deviation), Pearson correlation, ANOVA and MANOVA analyzes were used to evaluate the data. According to the findings obtained in this study, in which the relationship between self-efficacy and life satisfaction was examined, the relationship between life satisfaction and general self-efficacy was determined and the studies in the literature were supported by a current study. A significant relationship was determined between life satisfaction and the sub-dimensions of general self-efficacy, namely initiation and maintenance effort-persistence. When the life satisfaction of the athletes was compared with the life satisfaction of the coaches, it was analyzed that the life satisfaction of the athletes was significantly higher. Finally, while there was no significant relationship between gender and life satisfaction, it was determined that gender and occupation variables together affected general self-efficacy. As a result, a relationship was determined between the life satisfaction and general self-efficacy of tennis athletes and coaches. Keywords: Tennis, Sport, Self-efficacy, Life Satisfaction.
