Abstract (EN)
While globalization brings professionalization and institutionalization, the culture of winning has started to come before the culture of sports. Football, which constitutes the largest area of the sports economy, has become a commercial event. It has begun to be studied with many disciplines such as football economy, sociology, psychology and communication. With the fact that football has become an industrial business and its economic dimensions have grown, the necessity for sports clubs to manage themselves in the best way has emerged. Sports/football clubs, which have an important place in the sports industry in Turkey, are developing day by day. Economic, socio-cultural, technological, etc. To be successful in today's competitive environment, where there is an intense change in performance criteria; It depends on the clubs to determine their strengths and weakness and develop strategies that will benefit maximum from opportunities. In this context, the examination of football clubs that have been successful in the institutional sense in Turkey and the data to be revealed based on these examinations will contribute to Turkish football. With this point of view, the aim of this research is to examine the management structure, corporate management approach and general organizational functioning of Başakşehir Football Club, which is one of the football clubs that can be considered successful in terms of both structuring and corporate governance in Turkish football, and to create an exemplary model.
