Abstract (EN)

In this study, the language features of Hoca Mes'ûd's Tercüme-i Ferhengnâme-i Sa'dî were examined in terms of sound and morphology. The aim here is to reveal the features of the work related to the language of the period. The work named Tercume-i Ferhengnâme-i Sa'di is the mesnevi of the 14th century poet Hoca Mes'ûd, who translated some parts from the Bostan of Sa'dî-i Şirâzî. Hoca Mes'ûd is one of the important figures of the 14th century. He has two translation of called Süheyl ü Nevbahar and Tercüme-i Ferhengnâme-i Sa'dî. The study is based on three main topics. In the first part, Old Anatolian Turkish, periods, names and life additionally works of Hoca Mes'ûd and his life are discussed. In the second part, the status and harmony of vowels and consonants in terms of phonetics, moreover the phonetic changes such as elision and epenthesis are discussed. In the third chapter, on the work has been examined in terms of morphology, word types and structures, in addition to derivational and inflectional affixes have been sampled from the text. In the conclusion part, it is tried to compare the general characteristics of the Old Anatolian Turkish in the references.
